E-Portfolio 4.4


It has been six weeks since I started my research. The title has been confirmed by my supervisor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jidon Janaun as the Development of a Multi-pass solar heat collector for UMS Eco-Solar Dryer. 
My supervisor advised me to the literature review every week based on four journals or articles related to the study. This procedure helps me to understand more about the title and the dryer itself. I have been read a lot of articles and journals for the past six weeks. 
After that, I start doing my proposal. However, after been revised by the supervisor, there is a lot of mistakes that I need to repair. One of them is I need to improve my grammar and writing skill to write a better proposal. It is also to help and useful in the future. With help from the supervisor, I able to get the right objective for my research.
I also undergo a mini-conference and proposed my study to the representative lecturer. I prepared an e-poster to help me with the presentation. I carefully prepared for the conference to make sure I am completely confident and able to answer questions from the lecturer. After the conference, I become more confident and able to continue my research.
From the previous entry, I found out that doing a research study is hard as I though. I need to follow the right procedure to make sure I am on the right path. I also need to manage my time carefully to make sure I do not miss behind. Time management is important in doing a research study. In addition, I need to follow the standard of my lecturer and be what he expects. In other words, I need to improve myself to do the study and try to be independent. 
I also need to maintain a good social relationship with my supervisor and other researchers. A good relationship can help me in the future.

Prof. Dr. Jidon Janaun, we make an adjustment by changing the title of my research to the development of multi-pass solar heat collectors for UMS Eco-Solar dryer. The new objectives have also been developed matching with the title.   The research will mainly focus on the solar heat collector of the dryer. Double pass solar heat collector will be developed to improve the performance of the solar heat collector and to achieve the objectives.
